“When You Die” takes the viewer on a journey through the final scenes of an ill-fated magician’s (Alex Karpovsky) life. Leveraging the psychedelic firepower of neural style transfer, this video simulates a pineal dose of DMT, released at the moment of death: The emotional and textural landscape of reality loops and folds in on itself until it becomes a singular moment, outside of time.
